Vets/Vandals shine under KN lights

The senior(old) boys had a floodlit friendly against Kings Norton Vets on wednesday evening. As part of our development policy we gave KN some of our rising stars and it turned out a good thing that we did. Well played Tom, Adam and Purdy boys. The OYs tries came from Billy Bucknall, Big Steve Cunningham and 2 from the elusive running of Lee Coates, steady Ralph adding a conversion.
This saturday sees the first team at home to Newcastle(staffs) in a rearranged league game which is to be refereed by the always excellent Mr Jones of the North Mids Society. The Development side travel the short distance to play Kings Norton 2s.
Don't forget the Quiz on Thursday 4th March at 7.30. You don't have to be clever you just have to be there!
Greetings to another friend of the club, John Heggie once of Keresley where he had the dubious pleasure of playing alongside Dave Adams. John has fond memories of the Old Ys and his wife, Lesley also sends us a message but it might be best to save it for later!
