Old Yardleians U8’s vs Redditch U8’s (Match 2)

The second game picked up where the first had left off, both sides were keen to run with some very long distance winding lines from Josh H, Charlie and Alex, but great support play and super tagging particularly from Josh T, Jamie and Dan G, the scores stayed level throughout the game. Sam and Toby added to their game 1 scores with first half tries, with Josh T adding a third to keep old Yards in touch at half time. The last half saw some tired legs, but the winding routes and great support play resulted in tries from Ollie (3) and Alex to make it 7 all. In the last play of the game, Redditch saw a gap on the left wing and ran the full length of the pitch to sneak the winner.
Some great rugby played by both teams, Redditch achieved 1 - 6 tag turnover, and the two match series was tied 1 game each. Old Yardleians will travel to Redditch in January 2011 for the return fixture.
