Andy result for the Development team.

In consultation with former coach and player Rick Thorne, the 'wags' decided to treat us blokes to a weekend that most of you could only dream about. You wouldn't guess so I'll tell you. Three nights at Butlins in Skegness for the Britsh Folk Music Special. I expect that the more senior readers will have heard of the Strawbs, Donovan, Lindisfarne and the Oyster Band to name but a few. As most fans were of the hippy persuation, you could wear what you wanted so wooly hats, chunky sweaters etc were the order of the day which was the excuse needed for Browny, Pickle's Dad, WHP(Dip F.D.) Jenko, Tony Fagan etc. to look like a bunch of lumberjacks. Anyway, a 4 hour drive across frozen countryside, and sub-zero concert halls did, at times, make me wish that I was back at the Old Ys watching the Development team display their range of skills against the Exiles.
Tries from big Andy P.x2, Luke H, Greg the allrounder, Tom Thacker and Tom Pickle who was in close support of Andy just in time to save him the expense of a jug. Conversions were scored by Lee Purdy, Tom T. and Luke G. Final score was a win by 36-15 and with The Gunners back at the top of the pile, things wern't all that bad. And contrary to rumours the best hooker never to have been capped by Wales was not out drunk by Big Tony Fagan, it was a dodgy burger that caused the sickness!
All sunday games were cancelled due to adverse weather and this coming sunday has yet to be confirmed.
