Jan told me only this morning that the rugby playing season will reach a climax this sunday (under 17s look it up)as our First XV hopefully pick up the North Midlands Vase. However, the club likes to encourage you to broaden your horizons.
T his Saturday 11th May sees our new friends, The Birmingham Bears Australian Rules Football team, take on Huddersfield in their first home match of the summer. Come and satisfy your curiosity, you might even be tempted to get involved at some stage. The bar, of course, will be open.
This Sunday 12th May draws our playing season to a finale as our First XV travel to Dudley Kingswinford to take on Ross-on-Wye in the final of the North Midlands Vase. The team has worked very hard all season and would very much appreciate your support.
Mrs Collins has agreed to open the club and provide a light buffet (sorry Pete) for returning heroes or to drown sorrows.
Future dates for your perusal include,
Friday 17th May Annual Club Dinner
Friday 7th June Under 17 Social Evening
Saturday and/or Sunday 8th/9th June, working parties (details from Tom Power)
