Let's keep it brief as we pass through from summer to winter which seems to happen very suddenly.
First XV
The team returned to Malvern, this time for a N.M Shield, or plate or cup and saucer. well, it wasn't a league game. A shadow squad made the journey and were 20-0 down at the interval. A much better second half saw the score improve to 20-12 by the end. Captain Jamie was generally pleased with the display and it is good to see him take responsibility.
Development / Vandals XV
A team that is in fine physical condition took to the park to entertain Aston Old Eds. It was not great viewing, but a crowd of about a dozen came along to see if Jim Walker really is ready for an international call up. The concensus suggests 'strictly come dancing' might give him a greater chance. We eased our way to a win by 31-0 but it is sad to see Aston falling apart in terms of heavy defeats in most of their games. There are many clubs who have hit difficult times, some recover and others sink. It seems like Aston are fighting hard to survive. Good luck to them.
Minis / Juniors
With Sunday being Remembrance Day, both ourselves and The Eds, were without many players who had to parade. the outcome was successful for our teams who did get to play and who continue to improve. well done to them.
