JERRY BAYLISS
We receieved the sad news from Dave (Tinker) Townsend yesterday that Jerry passed away after a battle against Cancer.
Whenever you think about our local friends and rivals, The Eds, whether it was on the field of play or in the bar after the game, Jerry would have been one of those who immediately came to mind. A second row in the traditional style, he was a player that you would rather have in your team than have him playing against you. He was a great man both in stature and as a loyal servant to his club and he was widely respected in rugby circles. Dave will send us further details in due course.
