First XVWhen 'She who makes impulsive decisions' decided that we would spend the weekend in rural North Shropshire, I must confess that it did not have major appeal. However, when I got the result and report of our boys over in Newbold, her suggestion suddenly seemed a very good idea.
A scoreline that Warwickshire Bears would have been happy with, was disappointing to say the least.
The best way to get it out of the system is to get back on the pitch this Saturday and show us all what you are really capable of. Enough said for now.
Development XV
My reporter informs me that the game against Old Halesonians was abandoned at half-time due to an injury to one of their players. We wish him a full and speedy recovery. The score at that stage was 0-7.
Vandals XV
Better news for our teams was the victory over the Old Halesonians by 33-7. Nice One !
The Sunday Morning Show
Our young stars got their passports ready for that long trip to play Camp Hill. A variety of reports have been circulated but I think I am correct in saying that all the games were well contested and that the only Camps team to actually beat us was at under11.
Fixtures this weekend
Subject to weather conditions, willing opponents and none of our players going shopping with their wives, the situation is as follows
First XV Home v Nuneaton Old Eds 2.15 League
Devs XV Away v Camp Hill 2.15 Friendly
Vandals XV Away v Aston Old Eds 2.15 Friendly.
