IT'S MUCH TOO COLD (EXCEPT AT THE EMIRATES)

Mon, 02 Feb 2015 12:00

Is it really cold or is it me getting old? probably both.  Well done to those of you brave enough to play or just to support on a Saturday or a Sunday.  Any way, this week it's a short review of events.

Saturday
To ensure that we hold on to our Division 2 status, there are certain games that should be wins for us and Saturday at Old Covs fell into that category. A slow start proved that little bit too much and we lost narrowly by 11-13.

The Development /2nds travelled to Evesham to return home on the end of a serious beating.
The Vandals, with a home game defeated their 3rds 27-19. There is a report on this site.

Sunday
Our future stars made the journey over to Water Orton and turned on the class yet again with wins for all our teams. It might be a good thing for some of you senior players to come along and watch the kids skill and determination

Fixtures
First XV have a league match at home against leaders Old Laurentians, kick off 2.15.
Dev/Seconds are now at home v  Harborne 2nds
Vandals are away to Spartans, over by the Belfrey.

Sunday  all our teams are down the road against Edwardians except for our under 11s who travel to Worcester who are part of a 3-way arrangement along with Stourbridge.

And Finally
What did you guys expect? no plan B if plan A don't work, no plan A anyway, no pace across the back line, your one player who might have worried us is kept on the bench for 75 minutes. We left our best player out and still got 5 quality goals. It does not look promising for your survival.
