First XVIn a game that we needed a full strength squad, there were too many absentees with the end result a defeat by 60-7 looking just a little bit embarrassing. It must be said that our opponents, Banbury, played very well indeed and took their opportunities impressively. Having to include players from either end of the rugby suitable age spectrum was the order of the day. Coach Richard McCrainor was full of praise for the spirit shown with young Jack and less young Dave and Barstool doing their best. The game this coming Saturday at home against Droitwich is one that we need to win. This is not stated for the survival of the team in the Midlands Two but as the opportunity to show what the team can really do if their minds are focussed.

The Future Stars
Our youngsters took a pleasant trip across Warwickshire to play at Harbury. Games between us are always exciting and close affairs. When I asked Debbie if we had won, drawn or lost, she replied 'Yes'. That's cleared that up. This Sunday we welcome Bournville to our club. Previous experience tells us that they are a well organised outfit and that we should see another cracking game.
And Finally
Is it true? will Bobbo and John really put their hands in their pockets, Are ten shilling notes still legal tender? All will be revealed very soon.
