First Team News
At the start of the season, way back to last September, our teams were high in confidence having achieved so much over the last couple of seasons. I recall many of our players and supporters expressing the view that we would be happy enough to finish our Midlands League Two West (South) adventure in the middle regions of the table. If we were to be honest about it, then I think that most of us would be happy just to survive and that has been achieved.
We have taken a few batterings and need to learn how to close a game down when we have built up a lead. Hopefully we will have the ability to look back at the season and to decide how we can learn from our experiences and develop into a stronger team as a result .
This Saturday sees us travel over to Leamington for our final league game of the season. Our opponents have not had an easy season but a recent win against their local rivals, Old Leams has taken the pressure off them although they do need to finish the season with a win so we should be able to enjoy an interesting contest on Saturday.
