Too many of our players, throughout the senior section of the club, are still in summer mode.
Do the club a favour, make yourself available and communicate.
I don't think we are in such a state as some clubs who are struggling to put out even one side but I think we can do a bit more to get the club up and running to the level we know we can achieve.
Last Saturday
Just one home game with the Vandals playing at home against the Dixonians. It was quite entertaining with our pack dominating the set pieces but failing to make full use of possession with several players being forced to play out of position in the back line. In a highly entertaining game, a try from Peter Butler (aka Fridge) from long range (about 10 yards) was the highlight of the game which thanks to three penalities and an all important conversion from fly half Barry Gunningham we squeaked through if not on tries but points winning 16-15.
It was good to see Alister Parkes playing for us and when you return to university in Coventry remember there are trains and buses and I think I overheard your dad say that he would pay !
Also it was good to see Dixies playing because they were very close to extinction not long ago.
