With our Mini and Juniors being short of coaches, the three First team players, Luke Clem ,Rob B. and Ian Walker offered their services and the youngsters were grateful. Thanks lads and maybe a few more of our senior players could give it a go.
First Team
Playing their first home league match of the season we recorded a much needed win by 36-15 against Shrewsbury.
Our opposition were fired up and tore into us from the start but determined defence held firm. Our opponents had a very difficult time in the scrum and the pressure began to tell as the Yards scored freely and with accurate goal kicking we were soon out of reach. In fairness to the Salop team they didn't give up and kept us on our toes right up to the final whistle.
The World Cup
We all have our own views on it so I won't go on about it. I still think New Zealand will be there at the death.
