RICHARD BRAGG
I am very pleased to introduce to all of our members, players and followers, the Club's new coach Richard Bragg. Born and raised locally he is in line for a hectic time as he is a family man, is getting married soon to Stephanie and, it could be argued that he is also getting seriously attached to the Old Yardleians.
Richard has gained a lot of experience as a player in the Midlands and London areas and, even more importantly, with the Old Yards Vandals. Furthermore, he has been involved with coaching at a range of age groups as well as Ladies Rugby where he met his beloved. (enough to bring tears to your eyes).
When asked why he was so interested in coming to our club, he mentioned the warm welcome he received, the facilities on offer and the Mini and Junior set up
His ambitions for the coming season include the development of strength in depth with competition for places in all positions. In addition, he wants all players to enjoy their rugby and that is much easier if the team are winning.
Richard McCrainor
I would like to thank Richard for all his work at the club over a number of seasons. He arrived when the club was in a very low state both off the field and in performance. He provided stability and the confidence of the team grew. The team played a vastly more effective style of rugby and with it success quickly arrived. Richard, thanks from myself and everybody at the Old Yards.
