EVEN CLOSER

Mon, 29 Aug 2016 12:00

Next Saturday (3rd September)

A change of plan.  We were due to travel toCleobury  Mortimer for a North Mids Shield game but it appears that our opponents are not quite ready for the match to take place.  It seems a little vague but we will try to keep you informed.

Last Saturday
As soon as our Bow and Arrow session finished I called in at the Edwardians to see our first team squad were prepared for the coming season in Midlands Division Two. The hosts are a league below us and although they were fired up and determined to put on a display for their supporters, the gulf between the divisions was clear enough to see and the Yards were in almost complete control, scoring at will.

MINIS AND JUNIORS
Welcome back. This Sunday and the following Sunday are 'Registration' days when you sign up  for the season.  There will also be training so make it an early night on Saturday so that you can impress your team coaches. We invite new players and parents to come along to see for themselves what goes on at our club.

CHARITY ARCHERY
It was good to see so many of our followers taking part in a Charity 'Shoot' last Saturday. Our friends from 'Solihull Archers' provided the tuition, Dave Adams (Me), collected the cash and Station Fish and Chip Shop yet again delivered a lot of very tasty meals. Top shooters, in my opinion were Stan Silverman, Bryn Adams, Chris Martin and 'She who thought she was Maid Marion', did show some improvement and I think that given time, anything is possible. A big thank you to Pat for running the bar.

CHARITY WALK
If any of you are willing to join us at Packwood House on Sunday Morning we are taking part in a 5 to 6 mile walk in scenic Warwickshire finishing with a drink or two at 'The Navigation' in Lapworth. More information is available from Dave Adams.
