Thank heavens for Brendan FahyFor those of you under the age of 50 or even more, this might not make much sense but here goes. A long time ago, Brendan joined our club and would attempt to play anywhere in the backs with equal mediocrity wherever selected to play. Now we had a crash ball centre known to many of you and his name was Simon Brown. On the only day that Simon was unavailable, Brendan stepped in to replace him. Simon is still upset by the fact that the team photograph appeared in the local newspaper. Brendan still has the blown up version on his living room wall and when Simon and myself travelled down to Colchester for his 60th party, the photo was there for all to see.
On the positive side, being in Essex was apparently better than being in Shropshire watching our first team lose to Cleobury from a lower league in a cup match. Thanks Brendan.
Well done to our 2nds for an impressive performance and victory at Worcester.
