The effects of cold weather
Recent weather conditions and televised Rugby matches might have reduced, slightly, the number of spectators brave enough to endure the cold. However, Old Yardleians are made of strong stuff and there has been a noticeable upturn in our results recently.
Last weekend saw our senior sides up against Evesham. Our Seconds won 21-14 and our Vandals won by 17-10.
Our Future stars had their fixture schedule hit by school holidays and I suspect that both teams were guilty on that front.
This Weekend
Our first team have the opportunity to ease the relegation pressure as they face Kidderminster in a league match at Tilehouse Lane. We performed shockingly when we played them away earlier in the season but recent games have seen a real improvement and I am confident that Chinny will have our boys well prepared for what is a game that we need to win.
Minis and Juniors
Our younger players have a wide range of opposition on sunday and we ask them to contact the appropriate managers to confirm availability.

Other things
Dave and Rick are holding a charity quiz evening at the club on friday 24th March from 7.00 until we finish. Teams of up to 6 players, Fish and Chip suppers are included in the cost of £8 per person. The bar will be open and you can bring non members if you wish. Please let Dave Adams know if you plan to join us with an estimate of numbers in your team.
Further on in the year, as you have just read, I hope, will be a posh bash to celebrate 90 years of our club's existence.
