ACTIVITIES THAT MIGHT INTEREST YOU
This coming Friday, we are holding a Quiz Evening at the club. Proceeds from the evening will go to two charities, Parkinson's UK and Cancer Research. Details include cost £8 per player which includes a tasty Fish and Chip supper, teams of up to six players which can be your pre- planned team or come along and join up with others to make a team. The club will be open from 7.00 and the quiz will start at 7.30. Club members may bring guests and it would help if you intend to come along if you could let either Dave Adams or Rick Thorne know.
On Saturday, prior to a very important league match against Newcastle, our committee is inviting Volunteers,(check if you fall into that category), to enjoy a buffet lunch and to engage in social intercourse before watching a winning performance from our First Team.
As you probably know, Our club is approaching it's 90th Birthday, (making it even older than Sid). In September, we are holding a posh dinner dance at the Village Hotel. Although it might seem a long way off, make sure that you don't miss out. Register your interest now with Pat McDaid.
In addition we would like to produce something that will act as a more permanent reminder and that is where we would like your help. Shannon, Pat or myself would appreciate it if you could contact us with your experiences and memories as part of the club. This might include your introduction to the club, the teams you enjoyed playing against, your special, funny or sad memories and anything else you might think of, which if it goes to plan, would become part of our club history.
