QUIET ON THE DOMESTIC SCENE BUT START OF 6 NATIONS WHICH COULD BE INTERESTING

SENIORS

Just one game on Saturday and although we lost 10-32 against Leamington  there were apparently areas of improvement in our performance.

SIX NATIONS
The elite of European teams opened their season at the weekend and for some observers, it didn't all go as expected. With my children (grown up allegedly) holding Irish citizenship they did not know which way their support should be aimed at. Naturally, you see how the games are going and decide who to support a little bit later.
As with most Fly-Halves the drop goal is saved for special occasions. Mr Sexton, with no real pressure, showed the French how to take chances when they were available. Could our Celtic cousins be serious champions ? I don't see why not.

The word was that Scotland were, at long last, ready to take on any country and then to send them home to think again.  Well it seems that the message did not reach Cardiff and an injury hit Wales cruised it. Possible champions? Discuss it with your friends, watch the game on Saturday and you should then know the answer.

England against Italy, the story is the same every year as their 'tough pack' runs out of steam in the second half. England as champions? According to the experts they are odds on to do it but if I was you, don't put too much cash on it until Saturday is over.

THE OTHER GAME
I thought Everton were a bit lucky because in reality they should have lost by ten. It might be a little less easy this weekend and I would settle for a win by two goals against the 'diving' cockerels.
