The 1st XV had a great win in the league at home to Burntwood on Saturday. They ran out comfortable winners 28-0. Tries were scored by Steve Grainger, Jo Patrick, Dave Howlett & Adam Walker. David Howlett also added two penalties and a conversion. Captain Steve Cunningham was pleased the way the team played together and gave special praise to Man of the Match Ben Honey.

Other games played in our league: Bishops Castle & O.V. 34, Selly Oak 0; Bournville 0, Old Halesonians 22; Harborne 28, Newcastle (Staffs) 17; Tamworth 19, Willenhall 8; Veseyans 15, Telford 14.

The 2nd XV had a good win as well. Playing Coventrians away Andy Pearce, Guy Smith and Dean Brain all scored a brace as well as David Langley and Chairman Tony Fitzgerald getting one each.  We overwhelmed the home side 47-7, a good win for Captain Sean Byrne and the boys.

1st XV away to Old Halesonians in the league kick off to be confirmed by Richard Withey
2nd XV home to Old Halesonians kick off 12 noon
3rd XV away to Old Halesonians kick off 12 noon

Upcoming games - Saturday 6th October
ENGLAND vs. AUSTRALIA in the World Cup Quarter Final Kick Off 2pm.  Come and watch it on the big screen at the club and enjoy a pint at the same time.

Upcoming games - Saturday 13th October
1st XV home to Dixonians in the 2nd round of the EDF Energy Senior Vase KO 3pm. Come and cheer the lads on in the cup.
2nd XV away to Birmingham Barbarians
3rd XV home to Warley 2nds

Six Nations Tickets
Application Forms for Six Nations tickets have been sent out. There are spare copies at the club. Please make sure you send them by the end of October.

44 players have paid their Annual Subs in full already, support Old Yards and pay your Annual Subs. It is now £50 and is required asap.
