As many of you already know Tony Fagan, a long standing member of Old Yardleians Rugby Club, sadly passed away on New Years Eve.Many of you will have played rugby with Tony, who was a fine prop and one of the good guys on and off the pitch. When Tony was around the club's Guinness profits were never so high.
Tony's funeral will take place at Holy Souls Church, Acocks Green on Tuesday the 19th January at 11.30am. Due to Covid restrictions the service is restricted numbers. However a last request of Tony's was to go past Old Yardleians before the Church.
If any member or former players would like to pay their respects could they wait for the funeral cortege in the club car park at 10.45 am and form a guard of honour.
A floral tribute will be sent by the club but anyone wishing to send a donation in memory of Tony for Diabetes UK can send them c/o Stephen and Philip Painter Family Funeral Directors, 213 Yardley Road, Acocks Green, B27 6LT.
