1st XV had a free weekend as they were rested
An ?A? Team played Kings Norton 2nds at home on a very soggy pitch. A good forward battle took place with two evenly matched packs. It did not stop the Old Yards front row from taking one against the head in the second half to win the fat boys competition 1-0. A strong defence won the game for Old Yards as every time Kings Norton got the ball they struggled to make ground. It was different for our ?A? team with strong running from Ben Honey and Dave Langley punching holes. Our quality backs then took advantage of the space made to run in five tries. Amongst the scorers were Dean Brain and Andy Pearce. Ian Walker kicked two conversions.
A 3rd XV went to Kings Norton and was narrowly beaten 12 -7. Our points came from Tony ?The Voice? Fitzgerald that was converted by Gary ?Smoking? Williams.
