Pre-Season Training
Training for the new season continues to be well attended. It is every Tuesday and Thursday with a 7.30 pm start - that means changed and ready on the pitch at 7.30 pm.
Future Events:
Saturday 26th July
Training on Saturday afternoon with a 2pm start.
Saturday 2nd August
Club run off game.
Saturday 9th August
Pre-season warm up game to be advised. This will help you get used to the ELVs.
Saturday 16th August
Moss Goode Memorial 15 a Side Tournament at Old Yards. Teams confirmed: Old Yardleians, Ashby, Aston Old Edwardians, Bournville, Camp Hill, Edwardians, Harborne, Old Halesonians, Old Griffinians, Old Saltleians, Silhillians and Wednesbury.

- 1st XV vs. Old Saltleians away in a friendly
- 2nd XV vs. Old Saltleians home
- 3rd XV vs. Old Saltleians away
Saturday 6th September
EDF Senior Vase 1st Round - Old Yardleians at home to Upton On Severn kick off 3pm.
Saturday 13th September
The first league fixture of the season when we play Selly Oak at home. We will have a VPs lunch on this day.
Club Stuff:
Moss Goode Memorial 15 a Side Tournament
As you can see above there will be 12 teams in our pre-season tournament. This means a lot of people will be at our club that day so we need to cater for them all. There is a planning meeting for the event at the clubhouse on Tuesday 22nd July at 7pm. Anyone who is willing to help plan this event please come along. In addition we need volunteers on the day (16th August) to help run the day. We will need around twenty people to take turns in doing things such as marshalling car parking, running the BBQ, serving at the bar and administering the games. If you are coming to the day can you spare an hour or two to help. Please let me know.
Sponsorship Needed
The club needs sponsors for the following:
- 1st XV - £1500 - this will enable us to buy a new 1st XV kit, drill tops and other accessories to support the team
- Moss Goode 15 a Side Tournament - £250
- VPs Lunch on 13th September - £250
- Children's Christmas Party - £250

Players Subscriptions
Players Annual Subs have remained the same as last year. That is £50 for the season or £40 if you pay before 30th September. Help Old Yards and pay your Annual Subs to the club early. Mark will be up the club collecting this Saturday so bring your cheque books..
Help continues to be needed to get the extension finished for the start of the season
Thank you to the good numbers that have been turning up on the weekends to progress the club extension. If you have not been up then do so and see the massive changes going on at your club. Help is still required from 9am every Saturday to get it finished.
International Tickets for England's Autumn Internationals
Applications for tickets for any of England's Autumn Internationals need to be with Mark Baldwin by Saturday 23rd August.
North Midlands Shield
We have been drawn at home to Kidderminster Carolians in the North Midlands Shield. The game will be played on Saturday 18th October.
